“Whittall broadloom has that special flair for bringing out the best in surrounding furnishings”, says Ida Lupino, co-star of the hit motion picture “The Bigamist”.  You, too, will find there is one rug or carpet in the Whittall group that will best express your own personality and way of living.

Vintage Alcohol Ads of the 1940s

Does it seem strange to anyone else that they seemed to associate Joan with alcohol?  When I see her I don’t automatically think, “I wonder what she likes to drink, because I’ll certainly buy it.”  She doesn’t seem like that to me, but apparently I’m wrong.

Miss Joan Fontaine wants you to buy beer

Of course Joan drinks PBR! The de Havillands enjoy a classy, frosty beverage. I’m sure Joan was drinking poolside with her dogs celebrating 93 years of awesomeness yesterday!

Oh hipster Joan. She probably WAS drinking PBR yesterday, at her birthday lunch with her friends. I would like to be a fly on the wall at that party—a bunch of 90+-year-old Carmel ladies boozing and schmoozing.
