HARTMANN BELTING LEATHER WOODBOX VINTAGE Luggage SUITCASE Ida Lupino Howard Duff in Travel, Luggage | eBay
I acquired this piece from a very nice man who back in the 1980’s happened to be at an LA dump (he was a tree trimmer) when a pickup truck backed in and 2 guys kicked a big steamer trunk out the back. He sneaked over and dragged it away because we all know how cool old steamer trunks are to a young man (or anyone). This piece of Hartmann was inside along with glamorous gowns and Howard Duffs High School year book and other assorted discards. This piece of Hartmann was filled with scripts and publicity photos of Ms. Lupino and Mr. Duff. As I was cleaning out the dust I found the little corner of a black and white photo (pictured). I had no reason to not believe this guy, he was really genuine, and the story seemed to fit.
